HaTeomim Cave
מערת התאומים
Te'omim Cave is a large karst cave in the Judean Hills near Mata and Zanoah, with impressive halls and stalactites. Finds from the Roman period were discovered inside, including coins thought to have been hidden around the time of the Bar Kochba revolt. The cave is home to bats. The walk down is part of the adventure.
Tip: Bring a flashlight and good shoes, as the path inside is steep and can be slippery.
