Carmel Market
שוק הכרמל
The Carmel Market, Shuk HaCarmel, is Tel Aviv's best-known open-air market, packed with stalls of fruit, vegetables, spices, baked goods and household items. It is loud, colorful and full of local life. Many visitors stock up on snacks here, especially before Shabbat. Check kashrut stall by stall, as it varies.
Tip: Come in the morning on a weekday for an easier walk; Friday before Shabbat is the busiest.
